parkour by David Belle
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! - UPDATED
Dear members

As a result of discussion between the staff members the planned changes to Parkour.NET have been delayed. This is because we have had new ideas on how to improve the website and forums, and it is taking time to implement them. We ask you to bear with us while we work on the new site, and hope you'll appreciate the improvements to the new version once it's ready.

The original changes will still be made, but at a later date.

Users will have to provide basic information about who they are in order to register and contribute to the discussions on the website. This is to prevent people signing up anonymously and causing trouble, and also means that more personalised and accurate advice can be given. There will also be more information available about staff members, again to facilitate understanding.
The structure of the forums will also change slightly to maintain a better focus on improving people's understanding of parkour and making useful information easier to find. The videos section will be reorganised with specific rules for posting to allow only those videos that help users to gain a better understanding, either videos for users to receive advice on techniques shown, or videos that provide a good example to practitioners and inspire.
Clearer guidelines for acceptable usage will also be made available to help preserve the spirit of constructive discussion present in these forums. The staff will not tolerate any negative, disruptive or abusive users and will remove them from these boards where necessary.

To allow for a fresh start for everyone, part of the process will involve the removal of all existing posts and user accounts. You will therefore have to re-register upon your return and agree to abide by the new rules. Any information from any Private Messages that you wish to retain should therefore be copied elsewhere before this date.

Since there is a lot of valuable information present in these forums already we would ask all users to use the next 10 days to search through the forums and notify the staff of any informative posts that you feel should be kept. Obviously we will be retaining the information stored in the 'Important Topics' areas already, but if you search and find others please PM me with the link to the post in question and if possible, the reason you think it is useful.
Any posts you find useful will undoubtedly be of use to others.

Thank you all for your feedback in helping to make parkour.net a better place.

Cheers

Dave (on behalf of the Parkour.net staff)
