Hey,
I need help with my underbar, as the topic title shows. Every time its a regular space in going into (1,2 ft maybe) I always end up clipping my ass going through straight. and then when i swing my legs in from the sides, im hitting my legs as i almost finish the movement. bars with large gaps(2-3.5 ft) i can do fine, but when it comes to the shorter bars im basically screwed. Any help would be greatly apprieciated. Elch |

Just practice alot with the big spaces and as you feel comfortable you will be able to do the smaller ones, just like precision jumps. Go from big to small, your technique will take you there as you improve.

SHADOWFLOW i dont think going from big to small is good in precisions.
as for the underbar i have the same problem too but someone once told me to approach an underbar like in a rocket kick (look at wrestlers) you need to KICK at the air infront of you so your legs and butt pass quickly and when your back passes throug htry to pull up with your legs to make sure its through. |

Practice. More you do it, more it look good, more it's fast and more it's easy.

Currently, I'm moving 360 Underbar and recalling it to reverse underbar". This move is really practical anytime you have to go under a bar and must go head at the outset in place of your feet first. You can practice more and more to master this sort of skills.

There's a very simple solution. All of you guys are stating all of these wacky ideas.... Here is what you do:
Find a rail that has no bar between the rail itself and the ground. Grab some duct tape. Tape an underbar. Practice. Move tape accordingly. |
